2008 – after sounds took form the band shook off it’s inhibitions and recorded it’s self-titled debut, produced by jimmy bower in new orleans, louisiana. an european tour with the legendary ministry took place soon after the release. the ‘c u latour’ was to be ministry’s final tour as it was my uncle the wolf’s first.
2009 – the band saw it’s first self-produced effort with the release of the critically acclaimed ‘king’s ransom’ EP. also recorded in new orleans, this would be the first glimpse of the true nature in my uncle the wolf’s sonic evolution. dressed with melody and saturated in big darkness, the EP has proven to be a very important bridge to what happens next.
2010 – with producers shane stoneback & brian herman in tow, this marked the first time the band recorded an album in their hometown. the result would be a glimmering achievement in the form of an LP titled ‘flush’ . described as ‘dynamic-pulse-groove’ the 14-track journey is packed with a gloomy yet beautiful atmosphere, armed with bombastic riffs.
2011 – new associates; matt gelbs, ryan lerette and drew adler, have officially aligned themselves with the banned. persistently keeping goals in mind and a chip on each shoulder, my uncle the wolf’s new journey has just begun… new music is coming. and no, we won’t stop.
